Most of the time I think of myself as a fairly openminded kinda bloke. I stright friends. I have gay friends. I have friends who cross dress. I have friends who are perfectly “normal”. I have friends who are into some weird shit. Generally myh life ticks along just fine.
But for some reason reading about peoples feelings and relationships in non-stright couples I find hard work.. I dont understand why really - I think its probably just that Im scared, but something I read on newly found GeekSlut tonight really moved me. Have a browse over this entry

Ive ben introduced to a couple of great bits of the web today. Firstly, and I really am annoed I missed the boat on this one as I find it becuase it is closing…
belle de jour is a wonderful diary. Sexily without being filthy (and how often can you say that about something which talks about fisting?), funny, very clever, and a delight to read. Do so from the first posts onwards, it is wonderful.
Em and Lo dispence advice. They look like “wine and icecream” girls (think sex in the city - but with more sofas and TV!) to me. SOmeone who Id trust - which is very scary!
So - I now head for a bath and bed - the perfect combination. nearly.

I just bouht my first pair of real shoes. I mean - I;ve bought non-imaginary shoes in the past - but these were proper grown up black shiny shoes and cost me a fortune. However, they fit beutifully, look stunning, add an inch to my height, and are devine.

Yesterday morning I was walking to the train to get to work and I passed a conker tree loaded with great conkers. No kids had hurled sticks up into the branches to dislodge them as I might well have done (if i hadnt have been tall eough to actually reach one!) Infat nobody had even picked a few up to take home for their kids. Somebody had spray painted on the tree though. Thats really sad.

Well - I have lots of things to post about - as today has been both very exciting and very long - and when I logged in to do so I found something out. This - this very blog here - is my 2000th since I started [c][w][d] back in my first year of uni.
2000 really doesnt seem like that many when I think quite how many times Ive hit that little blog button. Theyve come from all over too. London, cumbria, durham, vancouver, prague, rome, airports, mobile phones, internet kiosks, all over reallly. Im yet to blog from my monbile - only somebody elses - but that will come.
Im also rolling on towards 40k hits on the site. thats nealy 20 per post.
well - Ive enjoyed it thus far and fully continue to.

what a strange day - Ive got tonsilitus agin - which is rubbish. I feel terrible. I went into work and got sent home again - which was nice - until i realised that I felt poo, just as poo at ome as I did at work.
and now i notice that haviing celebrated my 2000th post (I say celebrated in he weakest sense of the word) several bloggings ago - I notice that blogger still thinks that I am on my 2000th post. I wonder if blogger limits you to 2000 posts? If so then as i post this I loose one of my early posts - and tha would be poo.
Im sure theres a cunning way t get a copy of your entire blog using the settings - I shall investigae, but not right now - as Im going to bed. To sleep.

well, its been a really busy couple of weeks. In the last tree ive gone through my training, met a whole heap of my start group, learned a new language, been out a few times, been out late only once, and now I find myself on a friday, where I should be going out and painting the town red, waing o have a bath, and go to bed. Not sure what tomorrow holds in store, but I think tomorrow night might be big, so sleep tonight might be a good idea. Then again what as I missing by not being out tonight… oh the dilema.
new project starts on monday - and im being posted to bloody newcastle. Oh well - the international travels of a graduate are never over I guess…
Ive decided to venture out - sitting in is rubbish. To Angel - to find mr liam I think!

Well, Ive now moved across town, and Im staying in a little hotel (seemingly run by the case of a bbc2 comedy show), thats 20mins walk away from where Im going to be working (at least for a couple of weeks.)
The blog continues to change, with new shiny features. Im ditching the “things I need” sidebar and replacing it with “things I like” and adding “things I dont like”. NOt ground breaking - but hey, the world moves on!.

I onc blogged a site called Things My Girlfriend And I Have Argued About and started many rumours around my friends about having a sectret girlfriend that none of them knew about. They just didnt understand how the internet works I guess (this was back in 2000 when blogging was all new and shiny to them!)
However i ran across it again today and it still rings true. Not only have I argued about some of the things on there (though generally not with girlfriends) but I can imagine arguing about them with a particular ex.
Funny how what goes around comes around. I ran across the sie trying to mind out who Mil Millington is - an i still havent found out. I wonder if they (is Mill male or female??) write this site.

So with a couple of big nghts under my belt, I wake this morning with my first dteaming hangover of this period of my life (I was going to say “this month” or this year, but no pre-defined chronological period fits when I moved!). all was made well, or at least better, by a trip to Rosie Lees for a … Rosie Lee, egg, sausage and beans! Proper cockney boy that I am becoming. Brilliant.
Tomorrow starts the next new phase - the first proper job. Ill be up north again, which should be good - but a little annoying, now hat Ive got settled down south. Tht said I can look orward o sensible priced drinks, northen girls (southen ones are, well, different), and generally feeling a bit more at home.
So the blog contnues, and evolves a little, Im going to stop putting as many comedy links up, though they will remain. I think I find more solice talking to the blog - funny that - have no idea if anybody even reads it.

My god - it Tuesday morning and Im aleady planning the weekend! This is crazy - work is only 8 hours of my 24 a day - but it takes up all of my time! Madness - im sure the maths has gone wrong.
Anyway - I shall be moving tomorrow evening ches ben -and from there to the joys of my new house! Brilliant. Cant wait to get in - not that it will be better than my hotel to be honest (shared bathrooms - and no free breafast) - but it is substancially cheaper and isnt staffed with crazy people (more details of those tomorrow - Id hate to elaborate while there was a chance that they ight read it and throw me out on my ear).
Work continues - and it really quite busy. Coding- helping other pople code - etc etc. All is good. MOre news latter.

Breaking up with people is always rubbish. Even when I think Ive got i right - I havent. One girl did once thanks me for doing it that way I did (Looking back on it she was a wonderfully logical irl, and I was horribly nervous, and somehow it worked out).
Anyway - Ive not just split up with anybody - I was just reading another entry on Belle de Jour (direct link) that discribes breaking up perfectly without ever saying anthing.

Well, Ive been down here almost a week, and Ive almost stoppped panicing. London is huge, but its far from unnavigable, and it is expencive, and hot, and grimy, but there seems to be huge amounts of stuff going on.
Now Ive just got work to content with- which could be another challenge all together, but at least its coming together. So, watch this space, and Ill try and report in when i get a chance - and the name is changing… tomorrow.

Well, after being down here for nearly a week and not seeing a single person I know (whic is not unlikely in a city this size) I was in a bar last night- when John - my officemate of a year and person I said I rather sorry goodbye to last week, taps me on the shoulder!
Hes the bloke who posted “oli smells” on the blog a few days ago (when I was sillly enough to give him my password so he could send me some stuff). I didnt think Id be seeing him for ages, but hey - I guess thats how this world works sometimes.
Right - I need to sort out my addressbook - busy day today and I have limited time.
